Characters: Brrr (Lion Cub/ Cowardly Lion)

Brrr, better known as the Cowardly Lion, is a Lion who is known for traveling with Dorothy and unusual terror for a beast of his size.

Brrr is only fleetingly seen in the musical. In the scene with Dr. Nikidik, he is shown to be a small lion puppet in a cage, and Elphaba and Fiyero free him. Later, during March of the Witch Hunters, the Tin Man tries to get Brrr to tell about what the Witch did to him, tugging on his tail (the rest of his body remains unseen), and since Brrr is reluctant to come out, the Tin Man sings a verse about how if Elphaba had let the lion fight his own battles, he wouldn't be so cowardly.

Characters: Avaric Tenmeadows

A friend of Boq and Glinda featured in the novel

There is a character named Avaric in the musical, but he is not the same one as in the novel . This Avaric is Fiyero's driver and has no important role. Most of Avaric's character raits from the novel were given to Fiyero.

Characters: Turtle Heart (Lover)

Turtle Heart was Quadling from Ovvels, who came to Munchkinland after the Wizard's people had flattened the place where he had been living. He came to see Melena Thropp when Elphaba, was very young and had been thought the possible father of Nessrose. He and Melena sharred sexual contact and he stayed there with her for sometime in Rush Margins. He was a Glass Blower and Blew Elphaba disc in which he and she could see the future. He was not very good at Munchkin.
He was killed when he was sacraficed to an unknown person. Melena and Frexspar (her husband) left with their children after that.
